Background: Banbury Crossroads School is an educational institution in Calgary, AB. They offer full-day Pre-K to Grade 12 programs. With the goal of fostering student autonomy within a safe, relaxed environment of mutual respect.
Objective: Vectorize their logo and create various collateral pieces that are consistent with Banbury Crossroads School branding.
Business Card: This card is simple and straight to the point. The front shows off Banbury Crossroads School’s new vector logo. While the back features a vertical version of the logo on a background of Banbury Burgundy – Banbury Crossroads School’s signature colour. Additionally, the background forms a simple arch (inspired by the circle that encompasses the lighthouse) and brings the viewer’s attention to the staff member’s contact info.
Logo Vectorization & Colour Palette Refinement: Banbury Crossroads School requested that their current logo be vectorized. They liked their existing logo design but realized the limitations of having a rasterized image as a logo. Creating a vector version of their logo allows it to be scalable and easily reproduced across different media. This also gave them the opportunity to have different colour options and orientations for various applications.
Ads for Publications: Banbury Crossroads School reaches a wide audience and increases brand awareness by placing ads in multiple publications. Print ads also provide a tangible and credible presence for a brand as readers often view print publications as reliable sources of information.
